St. Mary Annual Christmas Shopping Day - Friday, December 12, 2014

posted Nov 25, 2014, 3:51 PM by St. Mary School
This is a free event that relies on the generosity of the St. Mary parents. Every class will have 20 minutes to shop in the gym for each member of their immediate family (those whom they live with only.)  The gifts will then be wrapped and labelled by our volunteers and sent home ready for the Christmas tree.

Participation from all the St. Mary families is what makes this day a great success and ensures that no one goes home disappointed due to a shortage of items.  So, starting today, we are asking that each family send in unwrapped gently used or new gift items. If you are a family of 5 with 3 children at St. Mary, then 12-15 items should be sent in (one for each member of the family less the shopper times the number of children shopping.)

Extra items will be gladly accepted especially in the category of MENS and TEENS since we tend to run short of gifts for these groups. To stir your imagination, there is a list (of possible suggestions) on the reverse side.  Please do not send in items that are harmful or food items with nuts.  Please note that any items you send in will not likely be the item that your child will bring home.

Along with your gift items, gift bags, small boxes, tissue paper, wrapping paper, bows, labels and extra tape would be greatly appreciated as we are running low on these items. All the leftover wrapping items are carried over to the next year.

This will be an exciting day for our children so if parents wish to volunteer.  Please see the links below for more information.
