GR. 6 PARENT MEETING AT ST. MARY SCHOOL

posted Feb 19, 2018, 5:04 PM by Rosanne Popp   [ updated Feb 19, 2018, 5:23 PM ]

Each year, we invite parents to assist with some of the special activities associated with the gr. 6 end-of-year activities. Some of these tasks include: fund-raising (e.g. "freezie" and popcorn sales) to subsidize the end-of-year trip and other costs, decorating for the Leaving Reception, coordinating refreshments for the reception, organizing a gr. 6 yearbook, etc.

All gr. 6 parents who wish to help in some way with these activities, are invited to a planning meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday March 1, in the Learning Commons (library) at St. Mary.  This will be a short (approx. 30 mins.) meeting. If you cannot attend, but are interested in helping with these activities, please call or email the school so that we can add your name to our list of gr. 6 parent volunteers.

Two additional drop-off dates are available for any parents who have not yet dropped off their donations to Christmas Shopping Day.  Drop-off is available:

1. Monday December 4th from 7:15 am to 9:30 am
2. Wednesday December 6th from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
In order to allow us time to prepare, it would be appreciated if all donations could be received by the last drop off indicated above.  If you are unable to drop items off at one of these times, please email saintmarycouncil@gmail.com to make other arrangements.
Please be sure to have your child's form filled out to accompany the donations.  If you have misplaced your paper copy, another form can be printed from the school website.  Forms will also be available when you drop off your donations.
Some parents have been asking if we are in need of gifts for any particular age groups.  If you still have yet to donate and/or are looking to donate additional items, the following groups could use some help:
- Teens (boy and girl)
- Junior - 7-12 (boy and girl)
- Primary - 4-6 (boy and girl)
- Baby
- Toddler
If you have not yet volunteered for this event and wish to do so, please click here to sign up.  If you plan on attending, please complete the information in the link so that we can organize the volunteers and ensure we have enough support for the day.
